Alario Center
Alario Center is a premier event venue located in Westwego, Louisiana. The center was opened in 1999 and is named after the late Louisiana State Senator Ken Alario, who was instrumental in securing funding for the facility. The Alario Center is an excellent location to visit for tourists due to the wide range of events held there. The center hosts numerous concerts, sporting events, and trade shows throughout the year, making it an ideal destination for anyone interested in entertainment. In addition to its modern facilities, the Alario Center also has a rich history. The land on which the center is built was once a plantation owned by the Barataria Bayou Villere family, and it was later used as a military installation during World War II. Today, the Alario Center stands as a symbol of the vibrant culture and community of Westwego. The center is located just a few miles from downtown New Orleans and is easily accessible by car or public transportation.
